Vintage Japanese Studio Pottery Yunomi Tea Cups Pair in Wooden Box – Signed

A beautifully understated pair of vintage Japanese studio pottery yunomi tea cups presented in their original fitted wooden storage box with brown cord.

Each cup is hand-thrown with a softly rounded form and finished in a muted sage-green glaze with warm iron-brown variation along the rim. The fronts feature an abstract botanical motif in earthy brown. Natural variations in glaze, tone and speckling give each cup an individual character while maintaining a cohesive pair.

Both cups bear impressed marks to the unglazed bases. The original wooden presentation box and cord are included. The maker has not been independently identified.

Condition:

Vintage pre-owned condition with light age-related wear. Natural glaze variation, speckling and irregularities are present and consistent with the handmade character of the pieces. The wooden presentation box and cord show age-related wear. Please review photos closely, including the bases and impressed marks.
